The following rules govern the discussion forums on http://www.mikeholmesfanforum.com . Please read carefully before participating. Your use of the discussion forums will constitute your agreement to comply with these rules:

1. All members will post in a way that is respectful of other members or possible readers. Flaming (online “bullying”) or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated. Members should keep in mind that this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated.

2. There is to be no naming of Builders, contractors or installer business names. It is also not permitted in private messaging (PM). Please report such instances to the Administrator or Moderator immediately.

3. No soliciting of business on the forum or in PM. Please report such Instances to the Administrator or Moderator.

4. Product information IS allowed. This includes websites. However any product website referring contractors/installers will be removed.

5. No listing of names or personal information of anyone on the forum including your own personal information (names allowed for members). Please make selections in the user control panel to control your privacy settings on the board. You can find these selections under board preferences.

6. Members are asked to not act as moderators. If members note an issue that contravenes something in this policy document they should bring it to the attention of a moderator or the administrator. Only do this if a moderator team member has not replied within 6 hours. Do not respond to such topics yourself.

7. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to lock, delete, edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

8. Members should post in a way that is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT (type in all capitals or in all bold) or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts.

9. No links to other sites containing other forums or businesses are to be posted on the forum. We aspire to keep all information on this site, and prefer it be posted here; rather then use other forums or business sites as resources. No links to sites that have links to other forums or business sites either.

10. The above forum rules, where applicable, also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging privileges.

Anyone who violates these rules may have their access privileges removed with or without warning.
